What is Gucci?
Gucci is an Italian fashion and leather goods label, and it was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1921. A turnaround of the company which occurred in the late 1980s made Gucci one of the world’s most influential fashion houses, and in the early 1990s, Gucci underwent what is now recognized as the poorest time in the company’s history. This company is most well known for its watches, clothing lines, and handbags.
It was in the year of 1947 when the immediately recognizable Gucci icon, the leather handbag with the bamboo handle, was created, and during the 1950s the trademark red striped webbing was introduced, which was taken from its original form place on a saddle girth.
